SERVICE & MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
The BANDIT 240 DB range of security fogging systems are specifically designed to provide high reliability and
simple, quick and minimal maintenance requirements. The Control Box installed with each BANDIT is a
device which allows all main test activities to be carried out from a single location, remote from the BANDIT.
These are the functions of the item:
Disable fog ejection
Red light illuminates when
ON
The FOG BANDIT Recommended service schedule
Non- Warranty requirement (Optional)
Recommended ANNUALY if opportunity arises i.e. if already on site servicing intruder alarm. (estimated
time required 15 – 20 minutes)
 Carry out a 1 second test fog ejection, by operating the appropriate button on the Control Box.
 Ensure there is sufficient remaining fluid in the HY-3 Cylinder Pack, by viewing the real-time LED
indication, shown on the Control Box. If the level indicates less than ~25%, or it is in the red sector,
the HY-3 Cylinder Pack should be replaced at the earliest opportunity in order to ensure maximum
operational capacity.
 If the front cover appears to be very dusty then gently brush or vacuum the textile of the BANDIT to
ensure adequate air circulation is maintained.
 Check all cable runs (particularly if rodents are believed to be present) including those to any
peripheral devices connected directly to the Bandit i.e. dedicated PIR's, PA buttons and Warning
Announcers.

  • Page 3  Whilst still ‘set’, then ‘activate’ the Bandit by the normal means (moving in front of an intruder detector, sensor, etc.) – confirm that the red ‘Alarm’ light also illuminates on the front of the Bandit, which indicates it has successfully ‘activated’...
