RECORDING FROM A MICROPHONE
Manual recording
[Operate with the battery charge stand or the remote control.]
( ) indicates remote control operations.
1. Connect a plug-in microphone to the MIC IN jack on
the main unit.
2. Insert a recordable MiniDisc.
3. To operate with the battery charge stand, place the
main unit on the battery charge stand. (To use the re-
mote control, connect it to the main unit.)
4. Press the REC button.
5. Select an appropriate recording mode (page 125).
6. Press the MENU button.
7. Select "MIC LEVEL" ("MICLevel") by pressing the
button, and then press the ENTER (
8. Select "ALC-H", "ALC-L" or "MANUAL" by pressing the

For auto recording level adjustment, select "ALC-H" or

If the silence lasts for 3 seconds or more, the unit enters
the recording pause mode.
When the unit detects sounds again, a new track number
will be created and recording will start.
To cancel synchronous recording:
