wet, position aquarium stand and tank to one side of
a wall-mounted receptacle to prevent water from dhp
ping onto the receptacle or plug. A ~ddp loop~ should
be aiTanged b~ the user for each dord connecting an
aquarium appliance to a receptacle. The 'drip lOop" is
that part of the cord'below the level of the receptaóle,
or the connector it an extension cord is used, to prevent1water traveling along the cord and coming in contact with the
receptacle. If the plug or receptacle does get wet, DON'T unplug the cord~ Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that
supplies power tothe appliance. Then, unplug and examine for presence of water in~the receptacle.

The appliance is for use ona nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug.illustrated in ~
above. A temporar~iadapter which.lboks like the adapter illustrated in(B) and (C) above may be used to connect this piug
to a'two-pole receptacle as shown in (B) if-a,grounded outlet is notavailable. The temporary adapter should be used only
until a grounded outlet can be installed by a qualified electrician. The green-colored rigid ear( lug, and the like) extendin~
from the adapter must be'fastened to a permanent ground such as a grounded outlet box.

MAINTENANCE & TROUBLES OOTING
There arena parts that need lubrication. The integrated air filter requires periodic cleaning. To dean the-filter media: remove
the air filter cover. Extract the filter media from the compressor and rinsethoroughly with cold water. Before replacing, wait
for the air ffter to dry. Replace.media into the emptyfilter cavity, replace the air filtercover and refasten. When the airflow
decreases, it is time to replace the diaphragms. There are two diaphragms, one.at either end of the compressor.
1. Disconnect the compressor from the AC receptacle.
2. Remove the-cover lid,

3. Uns'crew the ~iaphragm assemblyfrom either end of,the compressor.

Remove the diajihragm assembly.
5. Replace the diaphragm assembly and refasten.
6. Replace the cover lid.
