14. SAFETY CHECK - After servicing the unit ask the customer service for a safety check.
15. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE - Disconnect from mains power supply and remove batteries if
unit malfunctions. Reconnect after a short time.
Battery Safety Precautions:
Keep batteries away from children and pets.
Observe the polarity (+/-) when inserting the batteries. Failure to properly align the battery polarity
can cause personal injury and/or property damage.
Remove exhausted batteries from the device. Remove the batteries when the device will not be used
for extended periods of time to prevent damage due to rusted or corroded batteries.
Never throw batteries into the fire. Do not expose batteries to fire or other heat sources.
Battery disposal: exhausted batteries must be properly disposed of and recycled in compliance with
all applicable laws. For detailed information contact your local municipality's waste authority.
Follow the battery manufacturer's safety, usage and disposal instructions.

Insert Batteries
1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Insert two UM-4/AAA 1.5V batteries and close the battery compartment again. Please observe
the polarity when inserting the batteries.
Basic Operation
On/Off
Turn the unit with the VOLUME control on and off. Turn the control knob clockwise to turn the unit on.
The control knob serves also as volume control. Turn the control knob clockwise to increase the
volume, turn it counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
Always turn the radio off after use; turn the VOLUME control counter-clockwise in OFF position, until
you hear a click.
