h. Set the averaging time,

on the8153A power meter to 100ms.
i. With the laser source disabled, zero the 8153A power meter, by pressing
IZero).

Enable the Laser source and wait 1 minute for it to stabilize.
2. Set the -20dBm reference level.
a. On the 8153A, press
(dBm/Wj
until the 8153A
is
measuring in dBm.
b. Set the 8156A to the attenuation that gives -20.00dBm on the 8153A
display.
i. Note the setting of the 8156A for setting 1 in the test report.
c. On the 8153A, press
(Dlsp-Ref).
d. On the 8153A, press
(dB).
3. Measure the other reference power levels.
a. On the 8156A set the attenuation to give
+
16.00dB on the 8153A.
i. Note the setting of the 8156A for setting 2 in the test report.

On 8156A set attenuation to give

8.00 dB on the 8153A display,

Note the setting of the 8156A for setting 3 in the test report.
c. On 8156A set attenuation to give
