Start-Up and Operation
The power converter can be connected in two different ways. If the power
consumption of the connected consumers is under 150 W you can connect
it via the 12 V-Adapter (12). For higher loads use the connectors (13) to
connect the converter to the battery.
Connect the included power cables to the terminals of the power converter
(the black wire to the minus terminal and the red lead to the plus terminal).
Remove the knurled nut and attach the wire (red or black) to the stud with
its connector. Put the toothed washer over the stud and tighten the knurled
nut (Do not use tools).
Connect the clamps on the power cables to the battery. Make sure the red
wire is connected to the plus terminal and the black wire is connected to
the minus terminal of the battery. Now, turn on the power converter (the
LED lights up green) and connect the consumer to the power socket (Euro
and/or protected Socket).
PLEASE NOTICE: Always turn on the power converter before you turn on a
connected consumer. When turning off, always turn off the consumer first
and then the power converter.
To operate or charge USB devices, connect the device to the USB
socket (5). The maximum load is 500 mA. You can charge or operate your
MP3 player, your batteries or other USB devices.
If the power converter emits a humming noise and the LED (6) lights up
red, the battery is almost empty and the power converter will soon turn off
automatically. The power converter will turn off automatically when the
connected device draws more power than the power converter can supply
or when the internal temperature exceeds 65°C after prolonged use.
PLEASE NOTICE: Always make sure the ventilator (2) is not covered
during operation and make sure the warm air can exit the housing.
