Exhaust vents Vents for cooling fans through which warm air comes out. CAUTION • Do not block the exhaust vents, or heat builds up inside, possibly causing a fire. Also, do not touch the vents, or this could cause a low-temperature burn.

    When using the projector in a right side up, table position (noninverted top-to-bottom and left-to-right), the “position selecting screw for table mounting” must be switched to table mounting. (The MP-D1 is preconfigured to be ceiling mounted. No adjust- ment is need for ceiling mounting) This will correct variance in color images (shading), which otherwise would occur in table mounting.

  • Page 15 These are input terminals for analog RGB signals. NOTE • The MP-D1 can handle the following DTV formats: 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i. If the pro- jector is set to the “Auto” Detect Mode, the 480i and the 1080i can be detected, but 480p and 720p cannot.

    • If you want to create an enclosure for the MP-D1, be sure to provide proper ventilation so the temperature inside remains equal to room temperature. Below are recommend- ed dimensions for an enclosure.

    Installing the Projector (Continued) The projector has a zoom lens that focuses between 2:1 to 3:1 the width of the screen.     Connecting to Various Devices (Continued) Connecting To Computer Devices Before connection, be sure to turn off both the projector and computer. • Read the manual which comes with each device thoroughly. Connection to an IBM PC or IBM-compatible computer • Use the supplied computer connection cable. Also, prepare cables required for connect- ing the devices connected.

    If video image is dark and its color tint is poor even after you have adjusted color tint and brightness, replace the lamp a little earlier. Contact your Madrigal Imaging-authorized dealer where you purchased the projector to have the lamp replaced.
  • Page 47 Replacing the Light-Source Lamp (Continued) Loosen the lamp-unit screws, raise the handle, and pull out the lamp unit. Screw Insert the new lamp unit fully inside and fasten the screws. CAUTION • Do not touch the glass surface of the light-source lamp directly with your hand. If you touch with a bare hand, oils on your hand may adhere to the lamp, possibly prevent- ing the lamp from performing as specified due to a shortened lamp life, a darkened screen, etc.

    Cleaning and Replacing the Filter Clean the filter periodically. If the filter is heavily stained and does not get clean, or if it is damaged, replace the filter with a new filter (part No.: LC30208). Otherwise, dirt may get inside and appear on the screen, possibly preventing you from enjoying the video image fully.
