Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
Use the unit only according to this manual.
Before starting the unit, make sure the operating voltage stated on the type
label corresponds to the power mains available in your area.
Do not immerse the unit in water or any other liquid. If the unit or plug
should accidentally become wet, disconnect the power immediately.
Do not use the unit with wet hands, on a damp floor or when the unit itself
is wet. Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands.
If the unit or its power cable are damaged, the unit must not be operated
any further, but should be repaired by a professional.
Do not lead the cable around sharp corners or over hot surfaces and open
flames.
Never leave the unit unattended while it is in use. Be very careful when the
unit is used in the presence of children.
Place the unit on a level surface during use. Do not place the unit in a sink,
on a drip board or on any inclined surface. Do not allow the cable to hang
down or to touch the toaster while using.
Do not use the unit outdoors and do not cover it while it is turned on.
Unplug the unit from the mains power when not in use or before cleaning.
Never pull on the power cable, but grasp the plug itself to unplug. Before
cleaning or storing the unit, allow it to cool down.
Do not disassemble the unit and do not try to repair it yourself. The unit
does not contain parts serviceable by you.
Bread can ignite; therefore empty the crumb tray regularly.
The unit is only intended for domestic use and not for continuous
professional operation.
Never use the cable to carry the appliance.
Do not use bread slices which are wrapped in aluminium or plastic foil.
Never hold the unit by the toast slots. These become very hot while using.
