    For a simple set-up, all basic functions of the HELMHOLZ modem 56k 4.1 can be en- tered without knowing the individual commands and their parameters, using the configuration software.
  • Page 11 Handshake setting at the modem (Configure menu Modem): Auto bauding: With the first AT command, the HELMHOLZ Modem 56k 4.1 recog- nizes the baud rate and the format of the incoming data and configures itself ac- cordingly. When the modem doesn’t receive AT commands but user data right away, the last saved settings are kept.
