I **** trying to connect the DSD 4921 rv via ethernet to a modem. All the IP settings etc are correct but when it tests the settings the error message comes up Failed to connect to internet, and failed to estabilish name. I have tried through the modem with a laptop connected to the internet and also through a phone, with phone tethering turned on and all settings matched.

You can try a hard reset to the factory default settings to troubleshoot the issue. Navigate to Settings > Installation Menu > Factory Reset, then follow the on-screen instructions. Keep in mind that this will erase all connections and configurations, so you will need to set them up again after the reset.
