Sending address

1. Specifying sending addresses
SEND function can accept the scan distribution instruction from "SEND" tab. Distribution
request can be distribution for the addresses in the address book, or distribution for
addresses that were newly entered from the screen for new address entry.
2. Specifying addresses from the address book
Distribution addresses can be specified with the registered addresses in the address book.
The address book can store up to 3000 addresses. With the following function for a newly-
entered addresses, 201 addresses can be specified for multiple-address transmission.
3. Specifying newly-entered addresses
1 newly-entered address can be specified for 1 transmission reservation.
The following items can be specified for each address:
- Fax (G3Fax)
Target dial number
- i-Fax
I-FAX e-mail address
- Email
E-mail address
- FileSystem
Host name or IP address
Path for a file system
Communication protocol
User name
Password

LDAP Server

You can specify e-mail addresses and fax numbers by searching the directory listings on the
network using LDAP(Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) servers. E-mail addresses and
fax numbers obtained via the server can be specified as destinations or stored in the Address
Book.

If the Language Switch setting is set to 'On', some characters are restricted and
cannot be entered. To display all characters, set the Language Switch setting to
'Off'.

You may have to set up the LDAP servers beforehand, depending on the network
environment.

If you want to specify or register destinations via an LDAP server, the LDAP server
settings must be specified in the machine beforehand.

The information that can be obtained through the LDAP server varies, as follows:
- If only the Color Send Kit-Y1 (optional for the imageRUNNER 2545/2535/2530/2525/25
20) is activated: Names and e-mail addresses
- If only the optional Super G3 FAX Board-AG1 is attached to the machine: Names and
fax numbers
- If both the Color Send Kit-Y1 (optional for the imageRUNNER 2545/2535/2530/2525/2
520) is activated and the optional Super G3 Fax Board-AG1 is attached to the machine:
Names, e-mail addresses, and fax numbers

You cannot directly specify a destination that is obtained via a server as a forwarding
destination. To specify the destination as a forwarding destination, you must first store it
in the Address Book.
