Check the sharpness of the chain and the general
state of the chain. File or substitute the chain when
necessary. We recommend that this is done by an
official service agent.
8.1.1. CLEANING
Before proceeding to the cleaning of your device
disconnect the machine.
Warning!: always clean the machine after using
it. Lack of proper cleaning can cause damage to
the machine and produce a malfunction. Whenever
possible, clean immediately after use.
ATTENTION! he chain of the machine has very
sharp teeth. Always use security gloves.
Do not clean the engine with water. The electric motor
could be damaged in this way.
Clean the crevices of your machine with a wet cloth.
Never use gasoline, solvents, detergents, water or any
other liquid to clean the machine.
8.1.2. POWER CORD CONTROL
Inspect the power cord and extension cord to detect
possible damage or symptoms of wearing.
If you notice that the cord is not in good condition take
your machine to your technical service provider.
8.1.3. EXIT ORIFICE OF THE CHAIN OIL
Dismount the bar and check that the
oil orifice (1) is not clogged.
8.1.4. SHARPNESS OF CHAIN TEETH
Attention!: An incorrectly sharpened chain
increases the risk of kick back as well as increasing
the vibration level and possible accidents!.
To ensure that the machine cuts correctly, maintain the
chain sharpened. You must also sharpen the chain if:
• You must place more pressure to cut.
• The cut is not straight.
• There is an increase of the vibration levels.
• When cutting instead of splinters you see shavings.
Do not forget to always use security gloves when
sharpening the chain.
Make sure the chain is placed correctly once it has
been sharpened.
Use a special file for chainsaws when sharpening the
chain. Place the file between points (a) and (b) and
push the file forward maintaining a 30 angle.
File all the teeth of the chain in the same manner,
filing forward at a 30 angle.
Check the security height C, this height must be some
0.6 mm approximately. A height C larger than 0.6mm
will cause the chain to bite the wood and will require
a higher work rate from the engine and a lower height
will mean that the chain will cut badly.
