USER INSTRUCTIONS - TORINO LOCK

ABOUT THE LOCK

This lock requires a 6-10 digit code to open. You
can have 2 different codes, the master code and
the secondary code. You have been provided
with an emergency overrride key for this safe -
do not keep the keys inside the safe.

How to open the safe

• Press the [ON] key and enter a valid 6-10 digit code
(Factory default '111111')
• Press the [ENTER] key. The green LED will light up
• Within 5 seconds turn the knob clockwise to retract the bolts
• Open the safe door

Incorrect entry

• If you have entered an invalid code, the red LED will light up and the
lock will beep
• After 3 incorrect codes, the keypad will be disabled for 1 minute and
the red LED will stay lit throughout this period
• Once the time period is over, the green LED will light up

How to close the safe

Ensure that the bolts are fully retracted (turn the knob if
necessary)
• Gently push the door shut. Always ensure that there are no
objects or people in the way of the closing door
• Turn the knob anti-clockwise until it stops

  • Page 2 Setting / changing the user codes When setting up and changing your user codes you program the master and the secondary code together. You program the master code first, followed by the secondary code. Therefore if you want to set up/make changes to the secondary code you have to go through your master code setup first.
  • Page 3 Current supply / battery change A series of signals indicated that the battery is weak and must be replaced. Use only 9V ALKALINE batteries. Burton Safes recommends the Duracell brand. The batteries are located on the inside of the safe door.
