To reprogram the power back window switch on a 2020 Toyota 4Runner after battery replacement:

1. Turn the engine switch to "ON" (vehicles without smart key) or to IGNITION ON mode (vehicles with smart key).
2. Pull and hold the power window switch in the one-touch closing direction to fully close the window.
3. Release the switch briefly, then pull and hold it again in the same direction for about 6 seconds or more.
4. Push and hold the switch in the one-touch opening direction to fully open the window, then continue holding it for at least 1 second more.
5. Release the switch briefly, then push and hold it again in the same direction for about 4 seconds or more.
6. Pull and hold the switch in the one-touch closing direction again to fully close the window, then continue holding it for at least 1 second more.

If the window does not operate correctly, restart the procedure.

ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) Toyota’s ABS sensors detect which wheels are locking up and limits wheel lockup by “pulsing” each wheel’s brakes independently. Pulsing releases brake pressure repeatedly for fractions of a second. This helps the tires attain the traction that current road conditions will allow, helping you to stay in directional control.
  • Page 46: Traction Control (Trac)

Traction Control helps maintain traction on loose gravel and wet, icy, or uneven surfaces by applying brake force to the spinning wheel(s). Toyota’s TRAC sensors are activated when one of the drive wheels starts to slip. TRAC limits engine output and applies the brakes to the spinning wheel. This transfers power to the wheels that still have traction to help keep you on track.
