Rack-Mounting the Cisco 3620 Router This section explains how to rack-mount the Cisco 3620 router. Attaching Brackets to the Cisco 3620 Router To install the router in a rack with the front panel forward, attach the brackets on each side of the chassis as shown in Figure 3 or Figure 4.

Note The hex-head screws and plastic washers are used only for wall-mounting the Cisco 3620 router. All other rack- and wall-mount brackets are attached to the router using Phillips-head screws, without washers.

Wall-Mounting the Cisco 3640 Router This section explains how to wall-mount the Cisco 3640 router. Attaching Wall-Mounting Brackets to the Cisco 3640 Router To install the router on a wall, first attach the brackets on each side of the chassis as shown in Figure 26.

Mount the plywood board to the wall, using your own 3/16 x 2 1/2-inch or larger wood Step 4 screws. Using your own screws, approximately #6 x 1/2-inch (depending on the thickness of the Step 5 board), fasten the router to the board by the mounting brackets.
