INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK, MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE POWER SUPPLY IS OFF
BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICING THIS FIXTURE.
Make sure to read and fully understand these instructions before attempting to install this product.
1. Before the ceiling is finished, run the appropriate line voltage
(and dimming control wiring if applicable) to the approximate
location where the AB2 fixture will be installed.
2. After the ceiling material is installed and finished, make the
ceiling cutout using a 2-7/8" hole saw to cut an opening for
the AB2 downlight. Because of the small reflector flange on
the AB2, the accuracy of this hole is critical. Even a 3" hole
saw may leave a ceiling cutout too large to be completely
hidden after installation.
3. Pull the wiring (installed earlier) below the ceiling, slide the
J-tube cover open (keeping it on the conduit) and connect
the wiring to the J-tube through the open 1/2" knockout. A
3/8" flex conduit duplex connector may be used to easily
daisy-chain the fixtures together. For single installations and
end-of-run applications, a standard 1/2" knockout connector
can be used.
Because the AB2 features dimming capability, be sure to
make any low voltage wiring connections in this step. When
wiring for dimming, the low voltage wiring installs through
the adjoining 1/2" knockout. A second 3/8" flex conduit duplex
connector may be used in this knockout where applicable.
4. After the appropriate connections have been made, simply
slide the J-tube closed until it locks in place with the spring on
opposite ends of the assembly.
WARNING: Do not pinch wires between J-Tube cover
and endplates!
CAUTION: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY OR REWIRE FACTORY INSTALLED WIRING ON THE FIXTURE. SAFETY
AND PROPER OPERATION OF THE FIXTURE DEPEND ON THE INTEGRITY OF THE WIRING.
