Electrical connection
: Risk of electric shock!
Components inside the appliance may have sharp edges. These
may damage the connecting cable. Do not kink or pinch the
connecting cable during installation.
The required connection data can be found on the rating plate
inside the appliance; to do this, remove the metal mesh grease
filter.
Length of the connecting cable: Approx. 1.50 m
This appliance complies with the EC interference suppression
regulations.
This appliance may be connected to a correctly installed
earthed socket only.
Attach the earthed socket preferably inside the flue duct.
The earthed socket should be connected via its own circuit.
If the earthed socket is no longer accessible following
installation of the appliance, a disconnecter must be fitted as
for a permanent connection.
If a permanent connection is required, the installation must
feature an all-pole disconnecter (circuit breakers, fuses and
contactors) with a min. 3 mm contact opening. The permanent
connection may be installed by an electrician only.

Preparing for installation
Caution!
Ensure that there are no electric wires, gas or water pipes in the
area where holes are to be made.
Mark a vertical centre line on the wall from the ceiling to the

lower edge of the extractor hood. (Fig. 1)
Mark holes for the flue's fixing bracket. The centre of the fixing

bracket is marked with a notch. Place the fixing bracket in the
centre of the centre line, align it horizontally and mark the
positions of the holes. (Fig. 1a)
Mark holes for mounting the appliance. (Fig. 1b)

Drill the holes.

Press in the wall plugs flush with the wall.

Installing the appliance

Fitting the wall bracket
Screw on the fixing bracket for the flue duct. (Fig. 1a)

Screw on the screws to mount the appliance on the wall, but

do not screw in completely. (Fig. 1b)
Attaching and aligning the appliance
: Risk of injury!
Components inside the appliance may have sharp edges. Wear
protective gloves.
Screw the screws in to the appliance. (Fig. 2a)

Mount the appliance.
2.
Fully screw in the safety screws. (Fig. 2b)
3.
Loosen the screws to level the appliance horizontally. (Fig. 2a)
4.
Connecting the appliance to the power supply
Notes
For exhaust-air operation, a backflow flap should be fitted. If a
backflow flap has not been included with the appliance, it can
be obtained from a specialist retailer.
If the exhaust air is conveyed through the outer wall, a
telescopic wall box should be used.
Connecting the air extractor
Note: If using an aluminium pipe, smooth the connection area
beforehand.
Exhaust-air pipe Ø 150 mm (recommended size)
Attach the exhaust-air pipe directly to the air pipe connector.

Connect it to the air extractor opening.

Seal the joints appropriately.

Exhaust-air pipe Ø 120 mm
Attach the reducing connector to the air-pipe connector.

Secure the exhaust air pipe to the reducing connector.
2.
Connect it to the air extractor opening.
3.
Seal the joints appropriately.
4.
Establishing a connection to the mains
Plug the mains plug into the earthed socket.

If a fixed connection is required, please follow the instructions

in the Electrical connection section.
Remove the metal grease filter.
3.
Check the connection cable plug connection on the appliance.

Attaching the flue duct
: Risk of injury!
Components inside the appliance may have sharp edges. Wear
protective gloves.
Screw on the fixing bracket for the flue duct.
1.
Remove the protective foil from the flue duct.
2.
Place the flue duct on the appliance and fix in place. (Fig. 4)
3.
Gently bend the two side panels away from each other, hook
in behind the angle bracket and push together until the stop.
Screw in the flue duct to the angle bracket at the side.
4.
Screw the flue duct to the appliance.
5.
Removing the appliance
Detach the flue duct.
1.
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
2.
Detach the exhaust-air lines.
3.
Undo the retaining screws.
4.
Remove the appliance.
