Warnings:
Always use the correct type and wattage of bulb.
•
Dispose of old bulbs carefully.
•
The fitting is intended for indoor use only.
•
This is a Class II product and does not require an earth connection.
•
When changing a bulb, always switch off the light at the wall socket and allow
•
the bulb to cool down before handling.
Do not switch on the light until the assembly is complete.
•
Do not cover the lamp or bulb during use as this could be a potential safety hazard
•
The luminaire is not intended for use by children unless suitable adult supervision is
•
provided.
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the luminaire.
•
If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be exclusively
•
replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person in order to
avoid a hazard.
The lamp shade / bulb and adjacent parts may get hot during use, handle with caution
•
when adjusting the lamp head / stem position. We recommend adjustment while the
lamp is switched off and cooled or immediately after initial switch on.
Take extra care when adjusting the articulated arms to ensure fingers are not caught
•
between the two parallel bars or the springs. A crush risk exists and skin can be
pinched when in contact with moving parts.
CAUTION: Ensure that the light bulb is not within the recommended 0.5m of any surface
when operating as this could be a potential safety hazard.
CAUTION: Never exceed the bulb wattage stated.
Assembly:
1. Remove any protective packaging from the light fitting and shade.
2. Fit the support shaft of the articulated arm assembly into the support cylinder in
the base stand (refer image over page).
3. Fit the retaining screw into the side of the support cylinder and tighten clock-wise
to secure the articulated arm in position. Note: Ensure the screw passes into the
corresponding hole of the articulated arm.
4. Install the recommended bulb.
5. Place the lamp fitting on a stable / dry and level support surface.
6. Insert the supply cord plug into a suitable mains outlet and use the in-line cord
switch to operate.
