Therefore, press and hold S while
applying the brake pedal.
Once the system is ready to execute
the manoeuvre, the panoramic view
system is displayed in the Info
Display, accompanied by a warning
chime.
Release the brake pedal carefully
while helding down S throughout the
whole manoeuvre.
The system automatically takes
control over the vehicle. Observe the
warnings of the automatic parking
assist until the end of manoeuvre is
indicated.
Display indication
The instructions on the display show:
● general hints and warning
messages
● the demand to stop the vehicle
when a parking slot has been
detected
● the demand to drive forward
when a parking slot has been
detected
● a list of instructions to be followed
by the driver
Driving and operating
● the demand of applying the brake
pedal while maintaining S
pressed
● the direction of driving during the
parking manoeuvre
● the successful completion of the
parking manoeuvre indicated
● the cancelling of a parking
manoeuvre
Pausing / resuming the
manoeuvre
The current park assist manoeuvre
can be interrupted at any time either
by the system or by the driver.
The system is interrupted when:
● the button S is released
● the brake pedal is applied
● the driver interrupts movement of
the steering wheel
● one of the front wheels
encounters an obstacle
● the selector lever is moved out of
N or P
The interruption of the manoeuvre will
be indicated on the display.
