The encompass LE Audio Storage Card is designed to be installed in the Muzak Encompass LE satellite receiver and provide a second zone of
live music, on-site ad storage and music storage in the event of a signal loss once authorized via Muzak's Encompass LE Control System. These
instructions detail the installation of the encompass LE Audio Storage Card. The receiver installation guide, as well as this document, are
available on-line at http://noc.muzakcitycenter.com. It is imperative that you read and understand each of these instruction details prior to
starting the installation process. If you have any questions, contact the Muzak Network Operations Center at 1-800-327-6549.
Your Audio Storage Card box should include
1.
Encompass LE Audio Storage Card
2.
Quantity 3 plastic standoffs
3.
This installation guide
Audio Storage Card Installation Instructions
1.
Remove power to the receiver and disconnect all RF and audio cables.
2.
Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the eight screws holding the chassis together.
3.
Using the 7/16" nut driver or crescent wrench, loosen the RF-connector nuts and washers. Once they are loose, you can remove by hand.
4.
Remove the receiver cover. Be aware of the four spring-loaded washers pushed on the 4 audio RCA jacks (see pictures below). To avoid
losing this hardware, remove the 4 washers and 4 springs from the audio RCA jacks and set them aside until you are ready for re-assembly.
5.
With the lid removed, you are now ready to start new hardware placement. Place the three plastic standoffs into their locations as directed by
the diagram below. The standoffs will guide the Audio Storage Card into the proper critical pin alignment on the receiver motherboard.
6.
With the standoffs in place, you are now ready for the installation of the Encompass LE Audio Storage Card. You can now remove the card
from the protective anti-static bag.
