Thank you for choosing Jitron Ear & Forehead Thermometer JTMI-602M, a clinical thermometer meant for you
and your family. The thermometer does not radiate any infrared rays and is designed for both Ear & Forehead
measurement. This Quick Guide provides important steps that help you to test your temperature. Please read
the detailed User's Guide in the box carefully before using the meter.
This thermometer is a contact type device. It has a cleanable probe & lens. It is not intended to be used with a
disposable probe cover. Before you begin, make sure that the probe & lens are clean and without damage. We
recommend you measure 3 times and take the highest reading as your temperature.

FOREHEAD MEASUREMENT

" Forehead " button

EAR MEASUREMENT

1. Ear measurement is faster and more accurate than
forehead measurement. Press the "ON/MEMORY"
button to switch ON the meter.
2. Gently pull the ear back to straighten the ear canal and
comfortably position the probe into the ear canal, aiming
towards the membrane of the eardrum to obtain an
accurate reading.
3. Press and hold the "EAR" button until you hear a beep
sound. The measurement will be displayed in one
second.
4. Wait until all the icons in the screen stop flashing for the
next measurement.

Forehead measurement is more convenient. It requires
a clean temple to scan. Clean the right or left temple
before the measurement.
2. Press the "ON/MEMORY" button to switch ON the
meter.Touch the probe at the temple. Then press the
"FORE HEAD" button and gently scan around the temple
area. While scanning, you will hear soft beep sounds, and
measurement will be completed after the loud beep
sound in 5 to 30 seconds.
3. Wait until all the icons on the screen stop flashing for the
next measurement.
4. As the forehead temperature is likely to be affected by
sweat, oil, cosmetics, etc. and the surroundings, the
forehead reading can be taken as a reference only.
