PREPARATIONS BEFORE USE

PREPARATIONS FOR USERS OF THE DISTRIBUTION PANEL
Open the distribution panel box and position it where the pressure gauge is easy to read.

Check that the air supply hose is correctly coiled; see the instructions in Section 5.

Connect the air supply hose to the distribution panel with the coupling and

tighten the coupling by hand.
Securely attach the air supply hose with the eyelet to a fixed object. It is a good

idea to use a carbine hook for this purpose. The air supply hose must be attached
in such a way that the end couplings and the nipples are not bent or loaded,
whatever the direction of the load.
Connect an adapter hose to an air source with sufficient pressure.

Connect the other adapter hose to an air source with sufficient pressure.
6.
Close the vent valves on the adapter hoses.
7.
Open the valve on one of the air sources and place the "OPEN-sign" on this air

source. Check that the warning whistle first sounds and then stops sounding when
the pressure goes above 60 bar.
. Check that there is sufficient pressure in the air source by reading the pressure gauge.

When the user of the breathing apparatus or spiroline belt has completed his/her
preparations (see below), proceed as follows:
Check that the quick coupling on the P+ regulator is securely connected to the

Spiroline belt or the breathing apparatus.
Check that the eyelet on the air supply hose is securely connected to the user.

When using Spiroline HP with a breathing apparatus, you must check that the

cylinder valve on the breathing apparatus is fully open.
PREPARATIONS FOR USERS OF BREATHING APPARATUS
Prepare and don the apparatus as described in the instructions for the breathing

apparatus.
Lead one of the carabine hooks into the eyelet on the air supply hose. Attach

the eyelet to the breathing apparatus waist belt according to image. Secure the
eyelet by tighten the locking ring. The air supply hose must be attached in such a
way that the end couplings and the nipples are not bent or loaded, whatever the
direction of the load.
