TRANSMITTER ADJUSTMENT
The receiver in your 1/8th Scale Brian Deegan Metal
Mulisha Ford Raptor Short Course Truck is equipped with
a radio Fail-Safe. This means if the vehicle goes out of
range, transmitter goes dead, or other outside interfer-
ence occurs, the controls will return to a pre-set
position, usually neutral steering, and no throttle.
1) Make sure the steering and throttle controls are in their
neutral positions. Turn On the transmitter, and then the
receiver.
2) Press the Fail-Safe Button on the Receiver. The LED on
the receiver should be flashing once the button is
pressed.
3) Put the steering and throttle controls in the desired
position. Usually, both should be left at neutral. Press the
Fail-Safe button on the receiver. The settings will take
effect when the LED on the receiver goes from flashing,
to a solid red.
4) Test the Fail-Safe with the vehicle on a stand to prevent a
runaway vehicle. Apply some steering control, or throttle
input. While holding that input, turn Off the ESC. The
throttle should shut down, and the steering should
center. If not, repeat steps 1-3 above.
