Before roaming, Please make sure that must be a overlap region between Edimax Pro 1 and Edimax Pro AP 2. As you can see as below, the smart phone is not able to roam from Edimax Pro AP 1 to Edimax Pro AP 2. Because “Roaming” means the client detects multiple SSID at the same time, and choose better wireless signal to connect with.

Please configure RSSI Threshold depending on your demand. If the smart phone signal is reduced to -80 dBm, Edimax Pro AP will disassociate it from smart phone. In this period of time, the smart phone will detect and re-connect to the SSID which has the stronger signal. Please note, it might be short time that smart phone will lose the wireless connection due to how fast smart phone detects and connects to new SSID.

7. Under Edimax pro AP2, please follow the same configurations of Edimax Pro AP1 settings (step1 - 5) that we mentioned above. 8. Once the configuration is completed. Then while user walks from Edimax Pro 1 to Edimax Pro 2, the smart phone should auto roam from Edimax AP 1 to Edimax Pro AP 2 successfully.
