    (LH) and right -hand (RH) rear disc mowers in one machine. This mower must be used in conjunction with a 3 metre wide front disc mower, such as a McHale F3100 or equivalent. The design has been developed based on years of extensive research and development in the field of mowers and balers.

    The minimum recommended size of tractor for operating the machine comfortably depends mainly on the forage being cut. On flat ground McHale recommends a tractor size of at least 224 kW. On hilly ground or difficult conditions, an additional 10 to 15 kW is advisable.

    McHale Pro Glide B9000 Butterfly Disc Mower Field operation & machine adjustments Detailed instructions on how to operate the machine are outlined in the following pages. These should be used along with learning the precise functionality of each adjustment. 8.1 Cutting height The machine is fitted with an inclinometer to assist in setting the correct levels/angles and cutting height.
  • Page 41 McHale Pro Glide B9000 Butterfly Disc Mower All adjustment regarding cutting height (Y) is achieved by varying the top link (X) on top of the mower frame, which alters the angle of inclination (Z). When the frame is level vertically then Z = 5°. Reducing dimension (X) increases the slope or angle (Z) of the cutting discs, which lowers the cutting height (Y) and vice versa.
