• The Built-In Compass at top of Lantern always points North (as shown.)
Compass Reading Tips
• Hold Lantern level. The needle
must be balanced properly for an
accurate directional reading.
• Read the correct direction; "N"
stands for "North."

Maintenance

• Remove and store batteries when not in
use for 90 days or longer.
• Clean Lantern with a clean, dry cloth as
needed; dry after use.
• Lubricate screw threads and moving
parts with standard consumer lubricant
as needed.
If the Lantern does not turn on; works intermittently; or has a weak light:
• Remove and replace batteries.
• Be sure Lantern base is screwed on tightly,
and batteries are inserted properly in battery
compartment.

Built-In Compass

• Move to a different area if the
compass reading is unstable.
• Use common sense: e.g., know that
the sun rises in the East and sets
in the West.

Troubleshooting

Warning

• High Intensity Beam. Extremely bright 300 lumen light.
• Do not shine directly into eyes; may cause vision
damage.
• Follow City Ordinance Guidelines for proper disposal of
dry cell batteries.
• Recommended for Ages 14+.
