Bandit HY-3 Replacement Instructions

FR Remplacement du H-3 BANDIT
Procédure de remplacement :
Pour ouvrir la
trappe dévissez
:
les 2 vis :
- Tout d'abord, le contact d'autoprotection
doit être coupé. Soit par le "Control Box
ou en shuntant la boucle ' • ..
sur la centrale d'alarme.
- Dévissez les 2 vis de la trappe latérale à l'aide
de la poignée "HY-3 pack grip".
(des rondelles sont placées derrière la trappe pour
empêcher les vis de partir).
. Retirez la trappe et déposez-la à l'envers sur l'appareil
(Pour éviter les rayures).
- Ouvrez le carton de la cartouche HY-3 pack
et retirez la partie supérieure.
- Utilisez la poignée "HY-3 pack grip" avec l'embout #5 pour
dévisser les 2 vis rouge qui maintiennent la cartouche.
- Vissez l'embout M8 de la poignée sur la cartouche et retirez-la.
- Déposez la cartouche "HY-3 pack' vide dans la partie
supérieure du carton.
- Dévissez la poignée "HY-3 pack grip" et vissez-la sur la
nouvelle cartouche.
- Retirez le capuchon rouge de protection et placez-le sur
la cartouche vide
- Insérez la cartouche HY-3 pack dans les glissières. Appuyez
légèrement et vérifiez le raccordement des connecteurs.
- Dévissez la poignée "HY-3 pack grip" et revissez les vis
qui maintiennent la cartouche.
- La LED HY-3 sera allumée fixe (tout est OK).
- Remontez la trappe latérale et vissez les 2 vis. Remettez
l'autoprotection en service ("LED verte HY-3 OK" et LED "failure" éteintes).
- Emballez la cartouche HY-3 pack dans le carton original.
- Pour le remplissage: envoyez la cartouche dans son carton
d'origine à votre distributeur BANDIT.
Surcoût de facturation: Si la cartouche HY-3 pack retournée présente des éraflures ou
des bosselures profondes, la remise en état de la cartouche vous sera facturée en plus
du remplissage. (Les cartouches HY-3 packs retournées subissent un contrôle technique, elles sont remplies,
mises à jour, leurs mémoires sont remises à zéro et testées).

Fonctionnement de la LED verte HY-3 OK & :
Voyant fixe: tout est OK
Clignotement: HY-3 pack non accepté ex: c'est une cartouche démo HY-3 pack,
Remplissage illégal ou type de liquide inapproprié (brouillard irritant ou coloré).
RF (Regular Fog) doit être mentionné sur l'étiquette .
Clignotement rapide (2 Hz): Le HY-3 pack doit être changé, il n'y a plus assez de
liquide HY-3 dans la cartouche (en dessous du niveau minimum prédéfini ).
- : Eteint: Problème de communication. Vérifiez le connecteur sub-D , remplacez la
cartouche HY-3 pack ou renvoyez l'appareil à votre distributeur.

La poignée "HY-3 pack grip" est livrée avec
chaque BANDIT 240

Procédure to change thé HY-3 pack:
Two allen bolts
to loosen thé
side hatch
- Firstly, ensure that thé sabotage contact of thé
side hatch is switched off. Either by using thé
BANDIT240 'Control Bpx'.switch
or by bridging thé
sabotage loop of het alarm System control panel.
- Now unscrew thé allen bolts of thé side hatch using
thé specially designed 'HY-3 pack grip' (nb: there are
anti-loss rings on thèse bolts).
. Remove thé side hatch, placing it carefully on thé unit
to avoid scratching it.
- Open thé box of thé new 'HY-3 pack'
and put thé upper layer next to thé box.
- Using thé 'HY-3 pack grip' allen key #5 unscrew thé
two red allen fixing bolts and place thèse also on thé unit.
- Place thé M8 thread end of thé 'HY-3 pack grip' into
thé M8 hole, pull on thé 'HY-3 pack grip' and thé whole of thé
'HY-3pac/('will slide over thé two guide pinsout of thé BANDIT housin
- Put thé 'spent HY-3 pack' into thé upper layer of thé HY-3 pack box
- Unscrew thé 'HY-3 pack grip' and screw it on to thé new 'HY-3 pack'. V:r-
- Pull off thé red transportation protection cap and place it on thé
returning spent 'HY-3 pack'.
- Push thé replacement 'HY-3 pack over thé two guide pins into thé BANDIT housing
Carefully ensure that thé HY-3 pack connectors are aligned and slide over their respective
contra connector and coupling.
- Using thé 'HY-3 pack grip' fasten thé two red allen fixing bolts.
- Note that thé green HY-3 pack LED will be on continuously (ail is well).
- Remount thé side hatch and fix it by fastening thé two allen bolts. Ensure that thé sabotage
switch on thé Control Box is back off (green LEDswitch and frontLED "failure" go off).
- Fully repack thé returning 'HY-3 pack' in thé original box securely taping it.
- For refilling: ship thé box by normal freight to your B/WD/r-dealer.
Upon return ail HY-3 packs will be checked, refilled, memory reset and comprehensively tested.
Additional works may be carried out if thé HY-3 packs are found to be badly scratched or damaged.
Should this happen a value détermination of thé refurbishment to a resale status will be made up by
thé Company and thé costs for this repair will be charged to your account.
HY-3 pack
Functions of thé green HY-3 OK LED «:
Continuously on: everything OK
Blinks: The HY-3 pack is not accepted, because e.g..: It's a démo HY-3 pack, an
illegally filled one or wrong type of HY-3 fluid (irritating or coloured fog). The label
has to mention RF (Regular Fog).
- Blinks fast (2 Hz): The HY-3 pack has to be replaced, because there isn't enough
HY-3 fluid left (beneath thé adjusted minimum level).
- Stays off: there is a fatal communication problem. Check if thé sub-D connector is
clean, try another HY-3 pack or thé unit has to return to thé factory.

You will need a new HY-3 pack and thé HY-3
pack grip, and possibly a ladder to reach a
higher installed unit.
With each BANDIT cornes a "HY-3 pack grip".
