To Communicate
Use The Monitor button:
The Mon button is used to check activity on the current channel
before transmitting. It also lets you hear the walkie-talkie's volume
level when you're not receiving so you can adjust the volume. When
receiving, or if the channel is busy, the walkie-talkie LED will flash
more frequently than the normal walkie-talkie-on LED flash rate.
Adjust The Volume:
1. Press the Scroll button to raise or lower the walkie-talkie's volume.
2. The flashing Volume icon will appear and the display will show the
current volume level (from 1 to 9). The walkie-talkie will beep to
indicate the volume level (when the Alert tones are enabled).
3. The walkie-talkie will return to normal operating mode after a few
seconds.
Send Messages:
1. Check channel activity by pressing the Mon button, you'll hear
static if the channel is clear to use. Don't transmit if someone's
talking on the channel.
2. To maximize clarity, hold walkie-talkie 2.5 to 5cms from your
mouth.
3. Press the Push-To-Talk button and speak into the walkie-talkie.
8
The LED glows continuously when transmitting.
4. To receive messages, release the Push-To-Talk button.
