  • Page 5 PRODUCT OVERVIEW / OPERATION Browning control knob WHEN USING THE TOASTER FOR THE FIRST TIME NOTE: The toaster may emit a small amount of smoke and odour when used for the first time. This is normal and caused by the lubricant on the heating element during the production process. It is non-toxic.

Press the bread carriage lever down vertically until it is latched in place, the Cancel indicator button will be illuminated, and the appliance will begin toasting. NOTE: The bread carriage lever can only be latched when the appliance is plugged in to the mains supply.

    CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE: GENERAL: 1. Before cleaning, unplug from the appliance plug from the power outlet and let it cool down completely. 2. Wipe the outside of the enclosure with a soft dry cloth. 3. Pull out the crumb tray at the bottom of toaster and empty it. If toaster is used frequently, accumulated bread crumbs should be removed at least once a week.
