Installing the Baffles
Parts needed for this procedure:
26 Carriage bolt (5/16 x 3/4 inch)
26 Flange nut (5/16 inch)
1 Left baffle
1 Center baffle
1 Right baffle
1 Rear shield
3 Blade
3 Anti-scalp cup
3 Blade bolt
Procedure
DANGER
Mechanical or hydraulic jacks may fail to
support the machine and cause a serious
injury.
• Use jack stands to support the raised
machine.
• Use only mechanical or hydraulic jacks to
lift the machine.
1. Raise the front of the machine and support it
with jack stands.
2. Remove the existing blades.
3. Loosely install the new baffles under the mower
deck with the 26 carriage bolts (5/16 x 3/4 inch)
and 26 flange nuts (5/16 inch); refer to

Position the bolt heads inside the mower
deck except for the right side bolts
4. Loosely install the rear shield to the rear of the
mower deck with carriage bolts and flange nuts
(Figure 1).

deck except for the left side bolts
