Bed bugs experience thermal shock and are not capable of moving toward the heating unit. Always ensure that the heating units are on when placing potentially infested items inside the ZappBug Oven 2. Safety Note: Always maintain a minimum clearance of 6 inches around the heating units when operating.

7. Insert Items for Heat Treatment Place items inside the ZappBug Oven 2 on top of support blocks and/or support net. To ensure adequate airflow, items should not touch the walls or ceiling of the chamber.

The most common reasons why the unit struggles to get up to 120°F are ambient conditions and item arrangement. The ZappBug Oven 2 works best in rooms that are 70°F or above.
