Programming and Operation
Programming:
The wall keypad must be enabled to receive the IR signal before the sensor will work. To enable
the keypad, perform the following sequence of keystrokes on the keypad. The Handheld Infrared
Transmitter is already configured to control up to four different keypad addresses (rooms).
1. On the wall keypad, press and hold the A and D buttons
for three seconds. The A, B, C, D and OFF keys will
illuminate with one of them blinking. (The keypad may
be custom engraved to change the labels.) Button A
refers to the keypad being configured as Room 1, B to
Room 2, C to Room 3, and D to Room 4. If OFF is
blinking, the infrared receiver is disabled. Refer to the
drawing at right. The factory default is Room 1 (A).
2. Press the desired Room Number or OFF. This will con-
figure the keypad as that room or disable infrared
input. The selection will blink.
3. Press ON to save and exit.
Operation:
Use the CLMIR unit to remotely operate the corresponding con-
trol station.
NOTE: This system is based on line-of-sight operations, therefore, the receiver must be able to
"See" the transmitter. Any obstruction between the transmitter and receiver may adversely affect
the performance of the unit.
