Assembling the Tail Lights
Parts needed for this procedure:
1
Left taillight support
1
Right taillight support
2
Reflector triangle
4
Screw (#10-24 x 3/4 inch)
4
Locknut (#10-24)
Assembling the Reflectors to the
Light Support
1.
Align the holes in the reflector triangle with the
reflector bracket of the taillight support as shown
in
Figure
1.

Secure the reflector to the bracket
with 2 screws (#10-24 x 3/4 inch) and 2 locknuts
(#10-24).

Assembling the Taillights to the
Taillight Support
1.
Remove the 4 nuts from the 2 tail light
assemblies.
1. Nut (tail light assembly)
2. Lamp shield
3. Lens (amber—tail light
assembly)
2.
Align the tail light to the lamp shield of the left
taillight-support tube with the amber lens of the
light align left
3.
Route the taillight harness through the opening
in the lamp shield.
4.
Align the studs of the taillight with holes in lamp
shield, and secure the taillight to the lamp shield
(Figure
2) with the 2 nuts that you removed in
step 1.
5.
Align the tail light to the lamp shield of the right
taillight-support tube with the amber lens of the
light align right
6.
Route the taillight harness through the opening

in the lamp shield.
7.
Align the studs of the taillight with holes in lamp
shield, and secure the taillight to the lamp shield
(Figure
2) with the 2 nuts that you removed in
step
1
8.
Insert the 2 harness push-in fasteners of each

harness nearest to the light, into the 6 mm (1/4
inch) holes in the side of the taillight-support
tubes closest to the red taillight lens
