  • Page 5  Breath test: When display reaches 00, wait for audible beep then blow. LCD displays flashing “C-C-C” when it is ready for breathing test. Take a deep breath, blow moderately hard and consistently for approximately 3 seconds until hearing an audible click.

     Breath sample accepted: The test result will be displayed on the screen for 20 seconds. The top LED will indicate green or red light for test result pass or fail.  Block or unblock: The handheld tester indicates green or red light for blocking or unblocking state. Unblocking state: Green solid light, the breath alcohol concentration below limit value, the vehicle can be started.

    LED indications and description (Printed on the back of handset) Green flashing: Waiting for breath test, standby mode. Green solid: Unblocking stage, allow starting vehicle. Yellow flashing: Service required stage (permanent lockout after service warning days). Yellow solid: Permanently lock out vehicle. Red flashing: Short blocking stage, wait 5 minutes for retest.

    Permanent Lockout  The yellow solid light indicates the device is in the permanent lockout mode.  The vehicle will go in to a permanent lock out mode if the diver goes beyond the service warning time limit. There is a warning sound to remind driver when turning on the ignition.
