HELPFUL TIPS

NEVER leave the unit unattended while operating.
BURNING ODOR
During first use, you may notice a slight burning odor; this is normal with most new
appliances. The odor is caused by the residues burning off the motor. If the smell
persists or smoke appears, turn the unit off immediately and discontinue use.
DISPENSER
Make sure the clear gasket is properly affixed inside the Dispenser.
This will prevent soft-serve from leaking out of the Dispenser.
CLOGGING/FAILURE TO DISPENSE SOFT-SERVE
• Certain candies and other toppings may clog the Chute and Dispenser.
If soft-serve stops flowing, turn the unit off IMMEDIATELY and unplug
from electrical outlet. Remove the Dispenser by turning clockwise and
take out the Grinder. Wipe clean and reassemble MIX `N TWIST.
• The soft-serve mixture may also not flow if the ice cream is too soft. For best
results, remove ice cream, frozen yogurt, sherbet or sorbet from the freezer
right before using. DO NOT put soft or melting ice cream in MIX `N TWIST.
• DO NOT put toppings in first; this may cause clogging. Always put ice
cream, frozen yogurt, sherbet or sorbet first, then add toppings.
MIX-IN INGREDIENTS
You may use a variety of ingredients to create delicious creamy treats in your
MIX `N TWIST. For best results, chop the mix-ins before placing in the Chute. You
may choose to combine different mix-ins to create a variety of fun flavors.
• Candies: Peanut butter cups, candy-coated chocolate pieces, mints,
chopped candy bars, mini marshmallows, flavored baking chips,
malted milk balls, candy-coated peanut butter pieces
• Cereal: Granola, crispy or puffed cereal, flakes, rolled oats
• Cookies: Sandwich cookies, wafers, granola bars, chocolate-covered cookies,
graham crackers, waffle cone pieces, vanilla wafers, animal crackers, ginger snaps
• Fruit: Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, pitted cherries
• Nuts: Peanuts, walnuts, cashews, slivered or chopped almonds, pecans, coconut flakes
The following ingredients are NOT for use in the MIX `N TWIST:
• Caramel candies, gummies or other sticky ingredients
• Dried fruits, like raisins
• Fruits with pits
