Scout 25L Pannier Kit V2.0 Installation
1. Mount the silver plate to the pannier rack on the motorcycle as shown below using the
provided blue pucks (Qty 8), 40mm screws (Qty 16) and double hole washers (Qty 8)
pictured below. Note that there are 4 upper mounting slots and 3 lower mounting slots
to choose from, at least two upper and two lower slots should be used. It is advisable
to use the outer slots whenever possible.

Mount the silver plate to the pannier rack on the motorcycle as shown below using the provided blue pucks (Qty 8), 40mm screws (Qty 16) and double hole washers (Qty 8) pictured below.
- Page 2 2. Make sure the brackets are parallel to the silver plate, uneven pressure may cause damage.
- Page 3 3. Caution! Do not over tighten the mounting screws. Using a power drill may cause damage, hand tighten only. Using the provided 4mm hex key, tighten the screws until they are snug, then turn them another ½ turn. Check periodically for tightness.
- Page 4 4. Open the Velcro on the two lower “legs” of the harness. Run the legs through the lower most horizontal slot of the silver plate as shown in the first image below. From the back of the plate, loop the legs back through the upper horizontal slot as shown in the second image.
- Page 5 5. Next, open the Velcro flap as shown.
- Page 6 6. Close the Velcro on the leg straps, then close the Velcro flap over the legs as shown below.
- Page 7 7. Attach the harness straps to the silver plate. Turn the metal buckle on the lower left strap so that it can slide through the slot on the lower left of the silver plate as shown. Repeat for the remaining four harness straps.
- Page 8 8. Next, zip tie the upper left harness strap to the silver plate. Run the zip tie through the slot and harness buckle, then back through the hole in the silver plate as shown.
- Page 9 9. Tighten the zip tie and cut off the excess length as shown below with side cutting pliers. Repeat for the top right and upper harness straps.
- Page 10 10. To load the dry bag, unclip the three upper harness straps from the harness. Insert dry bag into harness.
- Page 11 11. Roll the top of the dry bag and clip the side buckles of the dry bag as shown. Tighten all five harness straps to secure load.
- Page 12 12. When riding with the dry bags removed the harness can be cinched close to the silver plate. To do this, unclip the three top buckles as shown below. Route the top strap down through the bottom center slot in the harness as shown.
- Page 13 13. Pull the center strap through the bottom slot in the harness, then clip it to the top buckle as shown. Finally, cross the side straps to clip to the two top side buckles as shown.
