the universal hand-held circular saw at the
corresponding notch.
Clamp small workpieces securely before sa-
wing them. Never hold them with your hand.
Always follow the safety instructions. Wear
safety goggles.
Do not use saw blades / cutting wheels which
are defective or have visible cracks or frac-
tures.
Do not use any flanges / flange nuts whose
bore hole is larger or smaller than that in the
saw blade / cutting wheel.
The saw blade / cutting wheel must not be
slowed down by hand or by applying pressure
to the side of the saw blade / cutting wheel.
The swing guard hood must not jam, and it
must return to its initial position when you
have completed the cut.
Before you use the universal hand-held circu-
lar saw, check the function of the swing guard
hood with the mains plug disconnected.
Before you use the machine, make sure that
the safety equipment such as the swing guard
hood, flanges and adjustment devices are in
working order and are correctly adjusted and
secured.
You can connect a suitable dust extraction
system to the sawdust extraction adapter
(13). Make sure that the dust extraction sys-
tem is safely and correctly connected.
Important: Always pull out the power plug
before doing any work on the universal hand-
held circular saw!
6.2 Using the universal hand-held circular
saw
Adjust the cutting depth and the parallel stop
(see section 5.1 and 5.3)
Make sure that the On/Off switch (2) is not
depressed. Only then should you insert the
power plug into a suitable socket outlet.
Do not switch on the universal hand-held
circular saw until you have fitted a saw blade /
cutting wheel.
Place the saw foot flat on the workpiece you
want to saw. The saw blade must not be in
contact with the workpiece.
Now hold the universal hand-held circular
saw firmly with both hands.

6.3 Switching On/Off (Fig. 5)
To switch on:
Press the locking button (3) and the On/Off switch
(2) at the same time.
Allow the saw blade to accelerate until it
reaches full speed. Then slowly move the saw
blade along the cutting line. Exert only gentle
pressure on the saw blade as you do so.
Important: Make sure that you do not co-
ver or block the ventilation openings while
you are working.
Important: Carry out a trial cut in a piece
of waste wood.
To switch off :
Release the On/Off switch
When you let go of the handle, the machine
will shut down automatically. It is impossible
therefore for the saw to run unintentionally.
After you have switched off the saw, do not
slow down the saw blade by applying pressu-
re to its side.
Important: Do not put down the machine until
the saw blade / cutting wheel has stopped
completely.
6.4 Changing the saw blade / cutting wheel
(Fig. 1/6-8)
Important: Always pull out the power plug
before doing any work on the circular saw!
Use only saw blades which comply with standard
EN 847-1 and are of the same type as the saw
blade supplied with this universal hand-held cir-
cular saw. Ask your dealer for advice.
Use only diamond-tipped cutting wheels which
comply with standard EN 13236 and are of the
same type as the cutting wheel supplied with this
universal hand-held circular saw.
Ask your dealer for advice.
Do not use grinding wheels!
To change the saw blade / cutting wheel, use the
Allen key (5) supplied with the machine. The Allen
key (5) is kept in the housing. Pull the Allen key (5)
out of the housing (see Fig. 6) when you need it.
Important: For safety reasons, the hand-held cir-
cular saw must not be operated with the Allen key
(5) inserted.
