Correct use of the appliance

This appliance is used to toast slices
of bread and rolls using the toasting
attachment.
It has been designed for private use in
the household and for similar purposes.
It should only be used as per the de-
scriptions provided in these operating
instructions. This appliance should not
be used for commercial purposes.
Any other use of the appliance shall be
deemed to be contrary to the intended
purpose and can lead to damage to
property or even to personal injury.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable
for damages which arise as a result of
the use of the appliance contrary to its
intended purpose.

Scope of delivery

Unpacking the appliance

1. Remove the appliance from its
packaging.
2. Remove all packaging materials such
as film, packing material, cable clips
and cardboard packaging.
3. Check that nothing is missing from
the delivery.
PLEASE NOTE:
There may still be some dust or pro-
duction residue on the appliance. We
recommend that you clean the appli-
ance before use as described in the
"Cleaning" section.

Instructions for use

Before the first use
ATTENTION:
To remove the protective coating on the
heater elements, the appliance should
be operated approximately three times
when it is empty. To do this, please
select the highest browning level.
PLEASE NOTE:
Any slight smoke or smells produced
during this procedure are normal.
Please ensure sufficient ventilation.
Power cable
Unwind the required power cable from
the base.

Operation

• The appliance must only be connect-
ed to a correctly installed and earthed
power socket, 220–240 V~, 50/60 Hz.
