Guidelines for use
• This bedguard is not recommended for use by children under the age of 18 months, or when the child is over the age of 5 years. It is
recommended that the bedguard is used only when the child is able to climb in and out of the bed unaided.
• The bedguard is not a substitute for a cot, as it cannot provide the same level of safety.
• This bedguard is suitable for use with mattresses up to 25 cm thick.
• The bedguard should not be used unless all parts are in place, and that it has been securely attached to the mattress in accordance with the
assembly instructions.
• Once in place, the bedguard must be checked to ensure that it is properly fitted and secure.
• The condition of the bedguard should be periodically checked, paying particular attention to the security of the locking mechanism and hinges.
• Replacement parts should only be obtained from Summer Infant.
• Do not use the bedguard on any sleeping surface that is more than 600 mm from the floor.
• The cover should not be removed once the bedguard has been assembled. NEVER use the bedguard without the fabric cover.
WARNING! To prevent the risk of strangulation, it is essential to ensure that when the bedguard is fitted into position, there is a gap of at least
250 mm (10 inches) between each end of the bed and the corresponding end of the bedguard.

Keep small parts away from children. • The cover should not be removed once the bedguard has been assembled. NEVER use the bedguard without the fabric cover.
  • Page 2 (Figure K) Step 4: With the bedrail flat on the floor, attach the legs to the hinge mouldings. Note that the pins on the legs must engage with the holes in the mouldings.
  • Page 3 If the mattress base is level with the side of the bed, the fitted bedguard should look like this: If the mattress base is below the sides of the bed, you will need to adjust the legs to allow the assembled bedrail to fit between the bed sides.

  • Page 6 UTILISATION : Placer la barrière de lit assemblée sur le cadre de lit (bas du matelas). Régler la longueur des supports de façon à ce que le côté, quand il est en position verrouillée (droite), touche le côté du matelas, les supports étant parfaitement ajustés contre l'autre côté du matelas. Pour les matelas plus petits, il sera sans doute nécessaire de déplacer les supports en plastique afin de faciliter le réglage.

  • Page 9 USO: Ponga la barrera de cama ensamblada en el somier. Regule la longitud de las patas de forma que el lateral de la barrera, en su posición de bloqueo (vertical), toque el lateral del colchón y las patas queden bien ceñidas al otro lado del colchón.
