  • Page 7 UNPACKING AND INSTALLATION Please take care when unpacking your CDT-Six / Force Transport and power supply. Choose a clean, clear location to unpack the units. Be aware that the Transport and power supply are very heavy; before attempting to unpack or lift the units, check their weight and if necessary use more than one person so that they can be moved safely and easily.

  • Page 9 CONNECTION OVERVIEW continued… Power Three umbilical cables are supplied to connect the CDT-Six Transport to the Force Power Supply. Each cable is different, having differing numbers of pins in the connectors at each end of the cable. You will notice that the sockets on the rear of the CDT-Six and Force are also different, and the number of pin apertures in each socket corresponds with the output pins on the three cables.
  • Page 10 CONNECTION OVERVIEW continued… Mains The CDT-Six / Force is equipped with a single IEC mains input socket, located on the right hand side of rear panel of the Force Power Supply, when the unit is viewed from behind. Combined with this input socket is the main power switch, and this is used to turn on and off BOTH units.
  • Page 11 CONNECTION OVERVIEW continued… Turn on the CDT-Six / Force by using the rocker switch located on the rear panel of the Force Power Supply, above the mains inlet IEC socket. The red ‘power on’ indicator LED located on the front panel should now be illuminated, and the screen located on the front of the CDT-Six should light up.

    OPERATION There are two ways in which you can operate the CDT-Six Transport; via the buttons located on the front panel or via the supplied remote control handset. The front panel buttons are as follows: - PLAY / PAUSE Press this button to play a disc. Pressing this button again will pause playback.
  • Page 13 PLAY / PAUSE STOP The CDT-Six Remote Handset is NOT SUPPLIED with batteries. Your Audio Note (UK) Dealer will be happy to supply you with the appropriate batteries, free of charge, or alternatively, please purchase them (high quality AA batteries are recommended) and fit into the handset before operating the remote control.
  • Page 14 OPERATION continued… Programming track playback: - You may select a number of tracks and store them in the memory in the desired sequence. The player will then play back only your selection of tracks in the selected order. Press the MEMORY button. 'MEMORY' will appear on the display. Press the CD SKIP or numbered buttons to select the desired track to be stored.
  • Page 15 As the unit “beds in” the sound will become increasingly smoother, detailed and open. Once the CDT-Six / Force has “bedded in” a warm up time of approximately 30 to 45 minutes is required each time the unit is switched on before optimum sonic performance is reached.
