REMOTE
The FAS-I4R
Remote Antenna Selector may
be
installed either
at
the
feedpoints
of
the
antennas
or
inside the FC-I02 Antenna Tuner,
providing
selection between
up
to
four
antennas. Alterna-
tively,
the FAS-l-4R can
be
installed altd operated
independently
from the FC-|02
when
a
l2
VDC
power
source
and switching
nreans
are
provided.
Ileavy duty relays
are used
to
enable
good isolation
at RF power
levels
up
to
1.2 kW
PEP.
Installation
in
the FC-102
|.
Remove
the
subpanel
on
the rear
of
the
FC-102
as
shown
in
Figure
l.
Insert the
FAS-l4R
module
into
the FC-102,
and install the four nrounting
screws
as
shown
in
Figure
2.
Using the short coaxial junrper and
4-con-
ductor
intercorurection cable. cotrtrect
the
ANT B
terminal on the frc-102
to
the
INI'UT
coaxial tertninal
on the
FAS-
I
-4R,
and
connect
the wire
ends
oI
the
4-coltductor
cable
to
the
terrninal
strip
ott tlte
FC-102,
securing
the other end
o[
this cable
into
the
REMOTE
jack on the FAS-I4R
as
