Protecting the environment
When you wish to discard the appliance in due course:
- Pull the mains plug out of the wall socket and let the
appliance run until the batteries are empty.
- Remove the epilating head from the appliance.
- Use a small screwdriver to remove the type plate (fig. 19).
- Open the appliance (fig. 20). (Use a small screwdriver
with blade width approx. 3 mm or a Torx T-8 type
screwdriver.)
- Remove the built-in batteries (fig. 21) and hand them in at
one of the officially assigned battery collection points.
(Depot for domestic chemical waste.)
You may recognize NiCd type batteries by the print r
(fig. 22) and NiMH type batteries by the print NiMH
(fig. 23).
Do not connect the appliance to the mains supply
after the battery has been removed.
- Put the motor and the metal parts in a metal waste
container.
- With a view to recycling, all plastic parts have been
provided with identification marks. These parts should be
disposed in the appropriate containers for recyclable
waste.
