Reminder message is programmed. Connect the 6 wires from the terminal blocks on the Door Station to the Comfort PCB according to the connection diagram below. The Comfort Panel should not be powered during the Door Station installation.

Line Control Phone Connect the incoming telephone line to the TEL IN terminal block of the Comfort Panel, and connect the Phone System to the TEL OUT terminal. This will allow Comfort to ring the telephones connected to the phone system.

When a Door Station is installed, then a maximum of 3 Keypads may be installed using the Comfort panel as the power source. Up to 8 Keypads may be installed in a system and including a maximum of 3 Door Stations if a supplementary 12VDC power supply rated at 1A DC with battery back-up is installed.
Location 1674 determines how many Door Stations are installed in the system. Enter valid values 0 or 1 and reset the system by pressing the Reset button on the Comfort PCB. When the Door Station button is pressed, a chime is heard on the Door Station and keypads. In Home, Night and Day Modes, the phones on the premises will ring if a Ringer Module is installed.
Operation In Away Mode In Away Mode, when no one is at home, Comfort is able to dial to a programmed phone to allow you to talk to the Door Station. To do this, program the dialout settings for the Doorbell Alarm Type.

R95 = 135,1,30,255. In Response 95, action 135 has two parameters, mailbox number and elapsed time. The mailbox number is the mailbox 1 to 8 in which the door station message is to be recorded. Elapsed time is the time in seconds to wait before starting the Door Station recording, if no one answers. This records a message into Mailbox 1 if there is no answer after 30 seconds during all modes.

1675 Playback of Recording is Distorted Usually, this is because the Microphone trimmer is set to too high a gain on the main Comfort PCB. Reduce the gain by tuning the MIC trimmer lower (anti-clockwise) on the PCB. Cannot Hear Two-way Audio for Voice Station or Door Station Check that the Voice and Mic connections are the correct way round.

This is in Locations 118 and 119 (In CSxpress this is Tune Parameter 35). Change Location 119 from 1 to 0. Change Location 118 from 25 to 125. Reset the Comfort system and test again. (Remote reset is possible on Engineer menu 7,4,2). You can change Location 118 accordingly to increase or decrease the gain (followed by Reset).

Door Station will not be able to hear voice from the telephone because the telephone will always be in Listen Mode. This may happen if the wire run from the Comfort Pcb to the keypad or Door station is very long or is running close to the AC mains.
