Learning A Transmitter
The AS-2214 TW Transmitter does not come pre-programmed. It must be code-learnt after the wiring of the Module is
completed. The system has the ability to learn up to 4 different Transmitters; if a fifth Transmitter is learnt, the first
Transmitter code in memory will be lost. To erase all Transmitter codes from memory, perform a Module reset.
To program a new Transmitter:
1.
Make sure that the Ignition is
•
Hold the Hood Pin-switch down for 4 seconds.
•
Release the Pin-switch.
The Parking Lights should come on.
•
With Parking Lights on, immediately push and release the Pin-switch again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 seconds.
2.
Turn the Ignition Key to the
Key
OFF
... The LED will be flashing during the next step.
3.
Press the
... until the icon of the button gives 1 flash and a beep is generated by the Transmitter.
The Parking Lights will flash 5 times quickly.
Otherwise you may also simply press the button repeatedly, until you see the Parking Light flashes.
4.
To exit, close the Hood.
Note:
The L.E.D. follows the Parking Lights in all modes.
The system can hold up to 4 Transmitters in memory.
The Programming Assistance Button
(A.k.a. the Hood Switch Interrupt.) Connected to the AS-2214 TW, this Push-button can be used from within the ve-
hicle instead of the Hood Pin-switch in the Engine compartment: when the Hood is up, pressing the Hood Switch Inter-
rupt button will be equivalent to pressing the Hood Pin-switch – it will cut the ground signal from the Hood Switch line.
For example, to program a new Transmitter using the Programming Assistance Button:
1.
Make sure that the Ignition is
•
Hold the Programming Assistance Button down for 4 seconds.
•
Release the Programming Button.
The Parking Lights should come on.
•
With Parking Lights on, immediately push and release the Programming Assistance Button again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 seconds.
2.
Turn the Ignition Key to the
Key
OFF
... The LED will be flashing during the next step.
3.
Press the
