9. Trouble shooting
CB-2000
Problem
CB-2000 switches
off automatically.
CB-2000 fails to
turn on.
CB-2000 fails to charge
the battery pack.
Odd measuring values.

Cause
CB-2000 switches off auto-
matically after 30 minutes.
Battery pack is
discharged.
No power supply connected
or battery pack discharged.
The CB-2000 is too warm.
Defective battery pack.
Defective power adapter.
Blown fuse.
Dirty current transformer.
Current transformer not
connected.
Voltage clips not connected
or incorrectly connected.
Total capacitance is higher
than 2000 uF.
Defective cable to current
transformer.
Defective cable to voltage
clips.
Wrong current transformer.
Remedy
Connect power adapter.
Replace the battery pack
with the battery holder with
new batteries.
Charge the battery and try
again.
Connect power adapter.
Replace the battery pack
with the battery holder with
new batteries.
Charge the battery and try
again.
Place the CB-2000 in a
cooler environment and try
again.
Send the CB-2000 in for
service.
Change fuse.
Clean current transformer.
Connect current transformer.
Connect voltage clips.
Connect voltage clips
across the capacitor to be
measured.
Disconnect parallel units.
Send the CB-2000
in for service.
Send the CB-2000
in for service.
Check whether the serial num-
bers of the current transformer
and the CB-2000 match.
