GENERAL INFORMATION
Model
592
Recordio tape
recorders
feature dual-track, dual-speed, monaural
recording
and
stereophonic
playback. Double-track
recording gives two full-Iength recordings
on a
reel
of
tape.
Any size reel
up
to
seven
inches
can
be
used.
A
tape
timer
enables the operator
to
Iocate immediately anyselection onarecorded
tape.
Two neon
record-Ievel indicators simplily
the
recording-level
setting.
New recordings can be
made
on
a previously
recorded tape because the erase
head
is
automatically
positioned
when
the
Record
button
is
depressed,
or the
same
recording
may
be
played back indefinitely,
Recordings can be made from
an
external radio, television receiver,
phonograph, or
telephone,
in
addition
to
those
made
directly from
the microphone. Recordings
can
be played back through the self-contained
speaker
or
an
external speaker or
speakers
by
using the output jacks.
Model
592 has two
tape speeds,
7 L/
2
and
3
3,/
4 inches
per second.

the tape are used, the recording times are
