  • Page 11: General Description

    Introduction 1.1 General description The SAILOR 6081 Power Supply Unit and Charger provides DC power at five DC power outlets (all separately fused) and a 15 V DC power outlet, e.g. for CAN interface. It also charges a connected battery automatically. If the AC power fails the SAILOR 6081 provides uninterrupted switch over to DC power from battery to the connected equipment.

    Unit and Charger includes up to four SAILOR 6080 units and one connector panel. The SAILOR 6081 can be upgraded on site to more output power by adding up to three SAILOR 6080 units. The connectors for DC power are placed at the same end of the unit for easy mounting and installation.

    Chapter 3 Service and repair The SAILOR 6081 Power Supply Unit and Charger is designed to operate without preventive maintenance. Repair or repair attempts performed by unqualified personnel may limit the warranty. The warranty on the system is defined and outlined by the distributor that supplied the SAILOR 6081 Power Supply Unit and Charger.

    Chapter 3: Service and repair 3.3 Exchanging the fuses The SAILOR 6081 Power Supply Unit and Charger has separately fused DC outputs. To exchange a fuse for one of the DC outputs, do as follows: 1. Minimize the current drawn by switching off as many devices as possible.
