How to Install Fort
Installation can be done in 7 Easy steps
LeisureTech recommends installation by an A-BUS qualified installer. For installers in your area visit
LOCATOR to find the closest one in your area.
For worry free installation use A-BUS approved Cat5e cable, Stranded DL-8
Step 1
Design placement
a
Workout best placement of speakers take into consideration the following:

roofing beams
2
depth of roof cavity, check with speaker being installed.
Suggested minimum 80mm depth for Forte speakers
3
avoid any major power cables

Place iPod dock in a central location, eg; kitchen, hallway, lounge

Step 2
Install Cable
a
Pre-wire DL-8 (CAT5e) in a star pattern from distribution hub (fig 1)
b
Run DL-8 (CAT5e) from iPod dock to distribution hub (fig1)
c
Label each cable with destination name (fig 2)
d
Run speaker cable from slave speaker to amplified IR speaker
e
Terminated both ends with RJ-45 connection in T568A configuration (fig 3)
f
Test cable, connections and terminations with RJ-45 LAN tester
Step 3
Mount Hub
a
Locate distribution hub in central location, near power
b
Connect RJ-45 terminated cables from 1-4 rooms to hub (fig 4)
c
Connect RJ-45 terminated cable from iPod Dock to hub (fig 4)
