    • Do not use the MSA400 system on emergency exit or panic exit doors. • Sliding elements that are equipped with the MSA400 slide drive must not be used as escape doors in the event of a fire. • Do not put the MSA400 into operation when it is not installed, as this can cause mechanical defects.

    Description of device and functions The MSA400 system opens and locks the sliding element at the push of a button. The system can be operated using the operating push button on the drive, the supplied infrared remote control or an optional wall switch. Two separate program- ming buttons on the drive allow you to program the system.

    Original operating instructions First operation When operating the MSA400 system for the first time, you must perform a reference run and then a calibration/teach-in run. Perform reference run 1. The sliding sash must be in the CLOSED position in order to begin the reference run. If necessary, slide the sash to this position manually.
  • Page 9 During the entire calibration and teach-in run, maintain a safe distance from the moving elements. Risk due to incorrect measured values! › To prevent incorrect measured values, never interrupt or interfere with the calibration and teach-in run of the MSA400 system 1. Block sliding sash 2 (not applicable for scheme A).

Opening sliding sash to intermediate position Note: The desired intermediate position must be programmed on the MSA400 system before carrying out this function – see . “Teach in intermediate position” on 14. › With the sliding sash closed, press and hold the operating push button for approx. 2 seconds until a short acoustic signal sounds once.

Intense solar radiation and light incidence can reduce the range of the infrared remote control.

Press the Prog button; the LED flashes green. 2. Press and hold the operating push button for approx. 5 seconds until a short acoustic signal sounds 2 times in succession.
