Hourmeter Installation Instructions

Mounting Locations

Choose a location inside the cab that allows for easy viewing. Typically an hourmeter is installed next
to the drivers seat so it can be viewed from the ground level when the door is open. Alternative
location is in the vehicle's drivers side tool box.

Mounting Positions

The housing bracket can be rotated to position the hourmeter to the left, right, top or bottom
depending on the particular installation.

Installation

1. Disconnect the TriPac's NEGATIVE (-) cable at the tractor's battery.
2. Insert hourmeter into the face plate and secure with the plastic retainer.
3. Attach ENGINE HOURS nameplate above the hourmeter.
4. Route the wire harness and grommet into the housing through one of the three access holes.
Install grommet into hole in housing.
Install provided plugs in the two access holes not used.
5. At the back of the hourmeter make the following connections:
6. Install the hourmeter and faceplate to the housing bracket with four 6-32 screws.
NOTE: All wiring should be neatly routed and secured with band wraps.
7. Attach the housing bracket inside the truck cab with four TEK screws.

  • Page 2 8. Route the hourmeter harness to the TriPac control box, remove the control box cover and route the harness through the large open slot in the base of the box. 9. Plug the hourmeter harness into connector (J3) on the PC board. NOTE: All wiring should be neatly routed and secured with band wraps.
